I started studying Swedish in 2018 at Ghent University. While I was learning a lot about the grammar, structure and history of the language I felt my speaking skills were inadequate. That’s why I started looking for possibilities to study Swedish in Sweden. My professor gave me a list of possible language courses and out of them I chose UISS!
Looking back now I 100% made the right choice. This program gives an ideal balance between learning Swedish, learning about its culture and a variety of social activities, for example an “allsång” or a potluck dinner. This mix allows you to be completely immersed in the language. My class’ teacher deserves a special shout-out here. Her professional, lively and fun lessons made me forget I was studying and as a result I felt my Swedish improving every day. As a matter of fact the entire staff deserves a shout-out. They ensured that every student’s need was met all while maintaining a professional and approachable atmosphere. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
UISS is not only an excellent language course with high quality teaching, it’s also a close-knit community of people who all share one passion: Sweden! I’m forever grateful I got the opportunity to become part of this family and I’m sure I made some friends for life. Thank you UISS!
